ROVING REPORT Mike Cole meets the Liddle family In Wellington, NZ
"ADAPTING TO CIRCUMSTANCES" CLIP
In the second of a series of emigration 'roving reports' Mike Cole of BritsNZ discovers that things do not always go according to plan for new migrants. Nurse Amber Liddle moved with her husband Paul and two young children to Wellington, New Zealand, just over a year ago. She thought she had a good job lined up in the oncology department of a local hospital but upon arrival was told the department had closed down. She was devastated. To make matters worse, Paul was unable to find work as a plasterer and had to take on a new role as a househusband. This 8-part interview looks at how the family are adapting to the difficulties and what they might have done differently.
